“It seems to me that the good life is not any fixed state. […] The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” -Carl Rogers

-
Self Esteem
Self-esteem reflects our perceived worth and abilities, shaping thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Healthy self-esteem fosters resilience and positive self-talk, while low self-esteem can lead to inadequacy and fear of failure. Cultivating self-esteem involves recognizing strengths, setting realistic goals, and practicing self-compassion, laying the groundwork for fulfillment and success.
-
Stress
Stress is a natural reaction to daily challenges, manifesting physically, emotionally, and mentally. While short-term stress can boost performance, prolonged stress can harm health and emotional well-being. Recognizing stress sources and developing coping strategies are crucial for management. Implementing relaxation techniques can enhance resilience and healthier responses to challenges.

Coping skills
Coping skills are vital tools for managing stress, navigating challenges, and enhancing emotional well-being. Techniques vary from simple breathing exercises and mindfulness to structured cognitive-behavioral strategies. Developing these skills fosters resilience, improves problem-solving, and promotes healthier responses to life’s difficulties. Understanding and applying coping strategies can help maintain balance and lead to a more fulfilling life.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a confidential space for personal growth. In one-on-one sessions, individuals discuss thoughts and feelings while receiving support. This process helps clients gain insights, develop coping strategies, and create plans for positive change. Whether dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or personal growth, therapy fosters self-understanding and resilience, enhancing overall well-being. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and the process usually begins with weekly appointments.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy offers a safe space for partners to examine relationship dynamics, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. This approach helps identify underlying issues, enhance emotional connections, and develop strategies for challenges. It fosters understanding and growth, guiding partners toward a healthier relationship. Sessions usually last 60 to 75 minutes and are typically on a weekly basis to begin.
Group Therapy
Group therapy offers a supportive space for individuals to share experiences and emotions with others facing similar challenges. Participants can explore personal issues, gain insights, and develop coping skills through discussions and activities. This collaborative approach fosters community and reduces feelings of isolation. By listening to one another, individuals enhance self-understanding, build resilience, and work toward personal growth and healing. I am currently accepting clients for Living in Recovery, a group for those seeking a substance-free life.
About Me and my practice
Healing can be difficult and sometimes painful, but you don’t have to do it alone. I believe everyone has the innate ability to heal. Growth is possible for everyone, no matter what the challenges or circumstances in your life. Let’s work to uncover that which is impacting your ability to have a fulfilling and meaningful life.
My (conscious) healing journey began at age 30 years old when I began my personal recovery from drugs and alcohol. Through the processes of both therapy and 12 step community support, I was able to find and maintain recovery, healing and growth. My recovery path led me to a place where I was able to work through all of the shame, guilt, trauma and pain that I had lived with for so long. My life today is led by my devotion and deep appreciation for healing and is filled with a deep sense of inner peace, gratitude, compassion and love. Those things and so much more await you on the other side of your own healing and recovery.
There are many paths to your healing and recovery, and together we can go on that journey toward wellbeing and wholeness together. I utilize both talk and somatic (body based) therapies in my practice. These practices aim to help you uncover barriers to your full potentiality, to re-discover your true essence and to discard that which is no longer serving you.
The Space
“Working through trauma can teach us so much wisdom and can reveal the beauty of our existence that, because of trauma, we had lost sight of.”
— Gabor Maté
More about my process:
“Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.”- Pema Chödrön
There are no coincidences on this path. If you have found my website, there is something within that has guided you here. It is my personal belief that no matter what you are going through or experiencing in your life, healing is available and possible. In fact, healing is an integral and natural part of life itself. Our work together will help you to look at what conscious or unconscious barriers are impacting and impeding this process and uncover ways to better facilitate the healing you are looking for.
It is also my opinion and belief, that deep down we truly know what we are needing or what we are looking for. The work I do is centered around getting in touch with that part of self and sorting through all the stories, beliefs, and forces that aren’t allowing for that process to happen. You are the expert in your own life and journey. My work isn’t to tell you what to do or how to do it, but rather to witness, reflect and help guide you toward your truth and authentic self…toward your essence.
